My first week of classes this semester is coming to a close. The plan is that this will be my last semester at A-BTech before transferring to Mars Hill College to continue my studies and dance with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers.

Well, so much for keeping up with blogging... that didn't work out so well.

Nell has given birth to four beautiful puppies, one of which we're keeping to train and work here on the farm. We decided to name our pup (a female) Fly. A name not very common in our area, but repeated several times in her bloodline's background. The puppies are three weeks old and thriving.

I have finally found a good, easy, and consistent way of keeping Boone working calmly while working in the barnyard. Whenever Boone raises his tail it is a sign that he has stopped thinking about what he should be doing, and instead he just wants to play. Every time he raises his tail I give him a gentle reprimand. This keeps his attitude calm and workmanlike, making chores much easier on everybody.
